Silas Nkosi

He is currently a MTech: Photography candidate at Tshwane University of Technology. He has a BTech: Photography qualification from Tshwane University of Technology. He also has a Higher Diploma: Higher Education and Training (cum laude) honours equivalent qualification from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. As a photographer he freelanced (1990 to date) for different publications, corporates and organizations including the Nelson Mandela Foundation, True Love Magazine, Sunday Times, City Press, Sowetan, FCB Advertising, and NEPAD/ African Peer Review Mechanism among others. He is an academic who worked as a lecturer in different disciplines of photography for Tshwane University of Technology (2003,2004,2018), Cape Peninsula University of Technology (2006-2010), Pearson Institute of Higher Education (2001-2002), and Independent Institute of Education (2019-2020). He also served in a number of higher education boards, committees, and panels at faculty level and departmental level (2000-2018) for quality assurance, curriculum development, teaching and learning at the mentioned universities and Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography. He has experience in online teaching and learning in higher education using Blackboard and studying towards being a Blackboard Certified Specialist in Digital Teaching and Learning. He is Shareholder & Group CEO / Executive Creative Director at Nkosi Media Group CC (1998 to date), and Shareholder & Group CEO / Academic Director at Nkosi Education Institute (PTY) LTD (2011 to date).
