Brittany Zoë Masters

Archives Intern

Brittany Zoë Masters is a photographer and archive intern based in Johannesburg. She is originally from Cape Town.

She taught at a preschool for 2 years before going back to high school to finish her matric at the age of 23. She has been self-taught for most of her artistic career. Masters completed the Advanced Programme in Photography at the Market Photo Workshop.

During her year at the Market Photo Workshop she completed an internship at the Johannesburg Art Gallery. It was here that she birthed an interest for the archive and assisted in the installation of The Art of Comics Exhibition.

Masters participated in Through the Lens Collective’s, Portrait Show in February 2020 and was also featured in the Everyday A Woman online platform for female identifying photographers. Her work has been featured in the Bubblegum Club online publication.

Masters currently works as the Archives and Research intern at the Market Photo Workshop.
