Babalwa Mtanga works in Administrative at the Market Photo Workshop. She is originally from the Eastern Cape. After completing her Primary education at Elucwecwe Junior Secondary School in Engcobo she attended high school at Tanga Senior Secondary School in Butterworth.

Mtanga completed the Foundation Course and Intermediate Courses in photography at the Market Photo Workshop. After completing the photography courses, she was offered the Administrative Assistant position. She practiced as a photographer for a short while due to her demanding job.

To further her work career, she has done short courses related to Admin. She plans to continue studying further as she recently obtained certificate in Applied Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Wits University. Outside work she loves reading and still pursue her photography passion. She is most interested in exploring Analogue photography.
